The Final Stitch Up: 2025 through the eye of your needles!

Putting together our annual Stitch Up brings on all the feels! We feel humbled that you’ve chosen to sew Peppermint patterns, we feel inspired by the versions you’ve created and we feel proud of you.

Where to begin?! As always, there has been a plethora of Peppermint patterns flooding our feeds this year, and we wish we could showcase more than just a handful of magnificent makes from you, our clever community. We encourage you to flip through the me-made items in your wardrobe or scroll through your grid and remind yourself of the beauty you’ve created with your own two hands (and maybe a seam ripper and some choice words). Congratulations to all of us for our creative achievements this year! We’ve put together some (but absolutely not all) of our favourites from 2025. We hope it inspires your next make!

OUTERWEAR

With the release of the beautiful Viola Quilted Jacket this year we hoped to join the hands of the quilting sewists and the garment sewists in our community and it seemed to work because – woah – did you guys love this pattern! Our wonderful West End Jacket was as popular as ever too.

SKIRTS

There’s no skirting around the fact that you guys love our skirt patterns and for good reason! Our catalogue of skirt patterns covers everything from the show-stopping design of the Pasadena RaRa Skirt to the comfort, elegance and style of the Wrap Skirt, the sweet Acacia A-line Skirt and the fabulous ruffle of the Rosalie Skirt. And of course, the perpetually popular Pocket Skirt! If you haven’t got a Peppermint skirt in your wardrobe yet, pop one on your 2026 to-sew list!

TOPS

‘What are you wearing?’ ‘Jeans and a nice top.’ There’s nothing like a great top to bring an outfit together and we loved seeing our Peppermint top patterns having their day in the sun!

SETS

Matching sets are having a moment and we are so here for it. The Samford and Loungewear Sets are perfect for a put-together look that we can all get behind, while the Valley Jumpsuit is a one-and-go get up!

PANTS AND SHORTS

We were so excited to introduce the Fern Pleated Pants to our pattern family in 2025. There was no shortage of Spring Shorts made this year and we so get it – they’re an easy sew, look fantastic and are incredibly comfortable to wear. (Plus – did you see we upgraded the sizing? Hoorah!). And the much-loved Wide Leg Pants always make an appearance – a classic cut that never goes out of style.

DRESSES

With so many dress patterns on offer it’s not surprising to see that you, our wonderful community, sewed a whole bunch of them this year! The ultimate wardrobe staple, our catalogue of dresses is bound to have something to become your new fave fit.

Another great make from Lisa from @SunnySewsEveryday:

My #PeppermintWaratahWrapDress is finished and I’m so proud of it. It has been designed not to flap open and flash your pants in the wind, so I feel confident it will be a great wheelchair or standing dress in English weather.

✨ INSTANT CLASSIC ✨

The Peppermint Myrtle Shift Dress is a beginner-friendly make with a few special details based on the ever-stylish shift shape – the perfect dress you need in your wardrobe right now!

Myrtle cuts above the knee with options to customise the length. Don’t think she’s reserved for hot weather either: try a heavier-weight fabric to turn your Myrtle into a pinafore-style garment for layering.

For our fabrics we chose two from our lovely sewing partner @Karmme_Apparel – the bold Rottnest Stripes in a lightweight, soft-drape cotton, and the quality linen in the handpainted Mexico Collection.

Get making the Myrtle – the only question is, can you stop at just one?
