Psst, Sydney… Want the Inside Scoop on This Weekend’s Finders Keepers Markets?

above THE FINDERS KEEPERS SYDNEY AW23 BY SAMEE LAPHAM

Are you ready for it? The Finders Keepers markets are returning to Sydney this weekend for their final market of the year and we’re feeling green with envy that we can’t be there! But never fear, you’ll still see us popping up all over the place – select stallholders will have our latest issue to gift to some lucky customers, and you can grab a free back issue all around the markets!

Running from 8–10 December, The Hordern Pavilion is the place to be – with air-conditioning pumping, delicious food and cool drinks aplenty and, of course, 170 incredible stallholders that will make all your Christmas-shopping dreams come true!

BUY TICKETS NOW!

To help you plan your visit and give you an exclusive look at what’s good, we caught up with a bunch of stunning stallholders who you can shop with and asked them one big question…

What can market-goers expect when they visit you at the markets this weekend?

MUSTARD MADE

We will be having a fun photo wall activation at the markets; visitors can come and have a Polaroid taken in front of our beautiful rainbow wall of Skinny Lockers. Plus, we’ll be offering the chance for someone to win a Skinny Locker (valued at $419) in the colour of their choice!

GEM THE LABEL

This is Gem the Label’s first time at The Finders Keepers and we are so excited to be bringing lots of our new pieces from our latest collection, Slice, and some exclusive pieces from our signature Bloom collection. We are a mindfully made, sustainable, slow fashion label and our pieces are madeby hand in our studio in Sydney! Our pieces are made from luxurious materials with bold and fun prints for the summer season. Usually, we make our pieces to order, however, this is the first time we will have a larger range for our lovely customers to try on in person which is really exciting! From dresses, tops, shorts and pants to playful accessories and homewares, Gem the Label’s debut at the Finders Keepers market this weekend is going to be spectacular!

DELATA

We’re ready to blow your mind with our Black and Gold collection – 100% ethical, using recycled materials, and each piece is hand-crocheted by single mothers in Colombia, giving it that extra touch of uniqueness. Swing by, check out the vibe, and feel the magic!

GATHER AND HARVEST

We’ve got a couple of great new things that we’re bringing to the market this weekend. We’re just loving our new gift boxes; we’re so happy with how they turned out.  They look so natural, calm and beautifully utilitarian. We have a Self-Care Gift Box and a Luminescence Gift Box for all the candle lovers out there.

THE SOCIAL OUTFIT

This weekend you can purchase a range of our bold garments and accessories crafted by our amazing team of refugee and new migrant sewers right here in Sydney. The Social Outfit is a fashion label with a difference. This is gifting for good.

Another great make from Lisa from @SunnySewsEveryday:

My #PeppermintWaratahWrapDress is finished and I’m so proud of it. It has been designed not to flap open and flash your pants in the wind, so I feel confident it will be a great wheelchair or standing dress in English weather.

✨ INSTANT CLASSIC ✨

The Peppermint Myrtle Shift Dress is a beginner-friendly make with a few special details based on the ever-stylish shift shape – the perfect dress you need in your wardrobe right now!

Myrtle cuts above the knee with options to customise the length. Don’t think she’s reserved for hot weather either: try a heavier-weight fabric to turn your Myrtle into a pinafore-style garment for layering.

For our fabrics we chose two from our lovely sewing partner @Karmme_Apparel – the bold Rottnest Stripes in a lightweight, soft-drape cotton, and the quality linen in the handpainted Mexico Collection.

Get making the Myrtle – the only question is, can you stop at just one?
